Suspect At Large After Two Shot On Metrobus Near Southeast DC School: Report

A suspect was at large after two people were shot on a Metrobus near a Southeast DC school on Thursday, Nov. 17, WJLA reports.

The shooting happened around 8:20 a.m. on the 800 block of Yuma Street close to KIPP DC Legacy College Preparatory school, which is located on 8th Street, according to DC police and the outlet.

A man and teen girl, who was on her way to school, were taken to a local hospital, where both are expected to survive, the outlet says.

No arrests have been made and police say they are looking for a 17-year-old Black man who stands 4-foot-8 to 5 feet tall.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, a black coat with holes in the front, and camo pants, police said.
